Les rencontres de Tangoutologie se tiennent depuis 2013. Les rencontres précédentes ont eu lieu à Londres en 2013 et 2017, à Cambridge en 2014, à Hambourg en 2015.

 

Pour la première fois, la rencontre annuelle de Tangoutologie se fera en France (Arras et Paris). Récemment, la mise en place du système unicode pour le tangoute, le catalogage des documents de Khara Khoto à la British Library ou encore la vulgarisation des articles scientifiques sur les études tangoutes dans les manifestations et publications internationales témoignent de l’importance actuelle de ce domaine. Cette rencontre sera l’occasion de constater de l’état d’avancement des recherches des spécialistes du domaine et de partager et discuter de nouvelles approches méthodologiques, scientifiques et de coopération pour des projets futurs. Cet évènement représente également une formidable opportunité de faire connaître et présenter les études tangoutes menées à Artois.

Les intervenants viennent d’horizons différents : philologues, historiens, linguistes, spécialistes de l’art, bouddhologues.

 

La rencontre se tient sur deux sites, à savoir ceux des partenaires du projet : l’université d’Artois et l’Ecole normale supérieure (rue d’Ulm).
